Esteemed 4SmartPhone Customer,

Currently some customers hosted on server EXVMBX016-5 may experience issues when accessing e-mail. Some of the mailbox databases were corrupted. Our System Administrators are working on the problem at the moment. All incoming messages are queued on the mail filters and will be delivered to the mailboxes, once access to the mailboxes is restored.

Mailboxes on the EXVMBX016-5 mail server should be available. Our System Administrators are working on data restoration at the moment. While the process of restoring mailbox content on the EXVMBX016-5 mail server will be lengthy, we have provisioned the ability for all mailboxes to send and receive new mail.  Once the restore process is completed, we will merge new and historical email.

We would also recommend using OWA to send and receive new mail messages at this time as this will prevent the need for Outlook clients running in cached Exchange mode to create new .Offline Storage files.

Thank you for your cooperation and your patience.

 SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE - June 21-22, 2008

Maintenance Exchange 2008:
Courtesy Service Advisory
June 21thand 22th , 2008

The following network outage notice was posted by RIM regarding the BlackBerry Network

The BlackBerry network provider, Research In Motion (RIM), has planned a maintenance outage scheduled for June 21 and 22, when they will interrupt BlackBerry service in order to perform upgrades to components of the Blackberry Network infrastructure.

All BlackBerry users located in North America will experience the BlackBerry outage on Saturday, June 21, from 2:00 – 6:00 a.m. EDT (06:00:00-10:00:00 GMT).

All BlackBerry users located in Asia, the Pacific and Europe will experience the BlackBerry outage on Sunday, June 22, from 2:00 a.m. – 6:00 am. EDT (06:00:00-10:00:00 GMT).

During these maintenance periods, BlackBerry subscribers will not have service, and therefore will be unable to send or receive messages, register their device, roam to other locations, or use other services such as Internet browsing. All BlackBerry service should be restored following these listed maintenance periods.

BlackBerry customers can also use this link below to convert GMT to local time based on location: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html.

No need to contact support during this maintenance.  Please monitor this page for updates.

THANK YOU for your cooperation !

4SmartPhone Normal Maintenance Window

Our normal maintenance window runs from 11:00PM to 6:00AM, US PST (GMT-8) every day of the week

During this period we perform backups, updates and other normal system maintenance actions on our servers.  Should maintenance be performed outside the normal maintenance window, it would be announced on this page and depending on the type of maintenance and its impact on users, it might also be announced by email.

All systems remain available during most maintenance operations.  Should a normal maintenance affect customer  ability to connect to their mailboxes, those operations will typically be scheduled for the weekend periods (Friday and Saturday windows) and described on this page.
